Rogers Guitars

My husband Devon Rogers, in addition to being an all around swell guy, is also a talented luthier (guitar-maker).  He somewhat recently started his own business called Rogers Guitars building custom acoustic (classical and steel string) and electric guitars.  He's been working in the industry for around 8 years and figured it was high time to do his own thing.  Although I may be a smidge biased, I also personally see how much consideration, time, and care go into each of his pieces.  If anyone is interested in a quality hand-built instrument, or just curious about the process, you should check out his facebook page Rogers Guitars (full webpage to come).  Thanks!  Here's couple pics of different guitars in process that he's worked on:

Stockings

Got a new project on the needles...  a Christmas stocking!  Just started it and so far it's been pretty easy and fun.  I haven't done a whole lot of colorwork before and I'm enjoying watching the pattern emerge. I think I'll be making several of these for the holidays.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

Significant changes at work (hello corporate buy-out) and at home (hello pregnancy) have kept things pretty busy and my mind occupied with things other than blogging.  But I'm back!  I'll be posting some more shortly.

Blessingway Done!

I finished the blanket just in time (like, same day I was going to give it).  Here's some pics:

This is pre-blocking and before adding the tassels on the corners.  I was in such a hurry to finish that I forgot to take a picture of it being completely done!  Now I'm taking a break from complex patterns for a little while.  Currently on the needles: a beanie.
